We are beyond excited to tell you that South African borders will open again to international travellers from 1st October! We’re still waiting for the full details and any restrictions but here’s what we can tell you so far:
- On arrival, travellers will need to present a negative Covid-19 test no older than 72 hours from time of departure.
- All travellers will be screened on arrival (and anyone presenting with symptoms will be required to have a test then quarantined until they test negative.)
- Travel may be restricted from certain countries deemed to be high risk; we will update you on this as we learn more
- Social distancing applies and masks must be worn at all times in public.
Strict Covid-19 protocols
We strictly follow the Covid-19 protocols developed by the South African Commercial Producers Association and approved by government. Our production teams and crew are now well practiced in following the protocols.
You can read the full protocols here.
Remote shooting expertise
We’ve spent lockdown shooting remotely. We’ve tried and tested all options for comms, bandwidth and connectivity and now have a complete broadcast studio available at Moonlighting. We will work out the best solution for your shoot if only part of your team can travel to SA or if you have to shoot 100% remotely.
Read more on our remote tests here.
See images from our tests on bandwidth and connectivity in remote locations here.
Let us know if you need any info or want to talk through any options. We will keep you updated as we get more clarity on any restrictions.
We can’t wait to see you and get shooting! Welcome back!!
